Manufacturing Engineer

Job Duties:
Responsible for design, optimize, and implement new food manufacturing processes that improve throughput, efficiency, cost, quality, safety, and reliability.

Develop and implement process improvements.

Identify and scope and test process-improvement opportunities for existing and future manufacturing lines.

Evaluate the scalability of R&D and production line projects.

Collaborate with Production to build and implement continuous improvement projects which address immediate opportunities.

Analyze and model project feasibility and utility according to various business metrics.

Participate in all phases of equipment design, layout, and qualification.

Responsible for internal communications and presentations related to key performance metrics, project progress updates, and ongoing program information for Management Review.

Production Engineer
Jobsite: Phoenix, AZ
Job Duties:
Responsible for applying industrial engineering knowledge to assist production department in the development of new production processes and improvement of existing production processes. Interpretation of engineering drawings, troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues, and developing production processes that ensure safety and efficiency, with built-in quality.

Constantly review the operation of plant equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate solve problems in timely manner, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Work closely with production and QA/QC departments to recommend design modification in order to eliminate quality issues and improve production process and schedule.

Establish and maintain a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment.

Determine root cause of single and systemic issues and develop corrective actions.

Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports, analyze data, and make recommendations for improving plant operations and solving mechanical-related problems.

Monitor the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and initiate reordering when necessary.

Communicate with Production and Operations Departments to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas.

Review existing production processes, identify optimum manufacturing techniques and modify production routers to improve efficiency.

Implement programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness, and assist with planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions.

Food Technologist - Quality Control
Jobsite: Phoenix, AZ
Job Duties:
Responsible for applying food science knowledge to determine the best way to conduct food analysis, quality control testing, HACCP planning and implementation.
- Enforce the administration of Quality Control policies in all areas of the manufacturing facility, such as GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and sanitation.
- Place defective products on hold and conduct investigation.
- Report any deficiencies found during a routine check to QA Manager.
- Provide assistance to the production team to ensure food safety, and quality objectives are met, such as using correct labels and packaging materials.
- Perform start-up and hourly line quality control checks for the production lines, such as pressure test, weight check, seals check and lot number check.
- Responsible for preparing, writing and keeping all QC documentation and reports.
- Responsible for preparing quality control audits by state inspectors and third-party auditors.
- Prepare Certificate of Analysis.

Quality Assurance Manager
Jobsite: Belcamp, MD
Job Duties:
Responsible for developing and implementing quality management and food safety procedures and systems by ensuring all products manufactured at our facilities are free from any flaws or errors and are of the highest quality.
- Manage all QA programs: HACCP, GMP, Claim Analysis, and Preventive Actions Planning, among others.
- Responsible for quality audits of all types including systems, process and product audits by vendors, governmental agencies, and third parties.
- Assess and qualify suppliers of raw materials, ingredients and packaging materials.
- Establish quality specifications and requirements for suppliers and ensure compliance through supplier audits and performance evaluations.
- Validate customer specifications, and inspection records are properly maintained.
- Investigate quality and product safety related issues for the finished product, ingredients, and packaging to identify and resolve and prevent through corrective actions, procedure development and compliance.
- Supervise and manage priorities, project timelines and deliverables of the quality inspectors and QA assistants.
- Coordinate quality improvement rework with Production Department if necessary and collaborate with other departments for overall quality improvement.
- Handle inspection and renewal of licenses and registrations related to food manufacturing practices issued by the Department of Public Health.
Minimum Requirements: MS in Industrial Engineering plus 1 year of experience in job offer or as Quality Engineer.
